Meet the Dogs

Aberdeenshire Sheepdogs is the place to be if you want to learn more about sheepdogs and their incredible ability to work with sheep. Our team of loyal dogs demonstrate herding techniques and other talents that make these animals so special.

The sheep dogs can be seen at a variety of events throughout the year for visitors to meet and learn more about them.

Kim (Queen Kim)

She is the head of the farm/house, keeping humans, dogs and sheep in check. With the most judging of faces but also the sweetest of natures, she has taken to the quiet life in front of the aga or standing on the kitchen table to watch events outside!

Flossie

The keenest dog of them all, Michelle’s side kick. She is a kelpie x border collie with a lot of energy, she always gets us into trouble and out of it, but Michelle would struggle without her. When not working sheep, you’ll find her nudging your elbow for attention.

Teeick

The most handsome sheepdog (absolutely not biased), he is a true gentleman with a softer side, he doesn’t like confrontation but is always willing to work. Gary competed in the nursery sheepdog trails with Teeick and is now running in the open trials. Don’t turn your back on Teeick otherwise he might have cocked his leg on you!

Shep (Viking Shep)

Gary’s youngster, all the way down from Shetland. He is just starting his training and is coming on well, Gary is aiming to run Shep in the nursery sheepdog trails in 2024. He is a very nice natured dog with a big heart and enthusiasm for work.

Kye

Michelle’s youngster, she’s still very young and hasn’t started her sheepdog training yet, but has been getting the basics sorted – walking on a lead, sitting and good recall, all very key for a

sheepdog. She loves meeting people at the demonstrations and is always up for her picture being taken.
